Our story

Amanda and Cameron met in the middle of nowhere (Rochester, Minnesota) in August of 2021.

Amanda moved to Minnesota after graduating from college, having accepted her first nursing job at the Mayo Clinic. Leaving everything she knew behind in California, she drove three days across the country with her trusty dog, Doozie. Convinced she would only stay for one year at most, she had no idea that her decision to move to Minnesota would change her life forever.

Cameron was living in Australia for a gap year when a twist of fate (COVID) forced him to return to the United States prematurely. In need of a job, Cameron moved to Minnesota to pursue a research opportunity in a neurosurgery lab at the Mayo Clinic. Similar to Amanda, Cameron never could have imagined how profoundly this decision would shape his life.

August 28, 2021 an east coast boy and a west coast girl walked into a bar called Bitter and Pour. Legend has it that Cameron saw Amanda and told his friend Ben “I’m going to marry that girl”. Love at first sight! After a long night of espresso martini’s, tequila shots, and shuffleboard, they exchanged numbers and just simply never stopped hanging out. 6 years later and 2 dogs, they’re finally getting married!
